Rowvert vs BankToSheets
These two tools solve different halves of the same problem. BankToSheets is a Google Sheets add-on that connects to your bank and syncs transactions and balances daily — excellent if the account is yours and you want a live spreadsheet. Rowvert starts from the PDF statement, which is what you have when the account is someone else's, when it is closed, or when the period is older than the feed reaches.
Written by Rowvert, so read it with that in mind. Everything about BankToSheets comes from their own public pages, checked on 22 September 2026: banktosheets.com. Prices and features change — check before you decide.

Choose BankToSheets if…
- The accounts are yours and you can connect them.
- You live in Google Sheets and want a budget that updates itself daily.
- You want categorisation rules applied automatically as transactions arrive.
Choose Rowvert if…
- The statements belong to a client, a tenant or an applicant, so there is nothing to connect.
- You need a period the feed doesn't cover, or an account that has been closed.
- You need an import file for QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or MYOB rather than rows in a spreadsheet.
- You need to check that the PDF you were sent is genuine.
The honest test takes five minutes: convert the same statement in both and compare the rows with the PDF. Rowvert needs no account for that. More on what to look for in how to choose a bank statement converter.

Rowvert vs BankToSheets: questions
Can I use both?
Yes, and many people should: a feed for your own live accounts, and Rowvert for the statements that arrive as PDFs. The CSV Rowvert produces pastes straight into a Google Sheet.
Does Rowvert connect to my bank?
No, and that is deliberate. Rowvert never asks for banking credentials — it only reads the PDF you upload, which is then discarded.
