How to download your RBC Royal Bank statement
RBC Royal Bank lets you download statements as PDF in online banking and in the app. Below: the exact steps, how far back you can go, and how to turn a PDF statement into Excel, CSV or QuickBooks.
Download a PDF statement in online banking
- Sign in to RBC Online Banking.
- On the Accounts Summary page, select Statements/Documents at the top right.
- On the Account Documents page, pick the account or document type you need.
- Use the dropdown menu to choose the statement period.
- Open the eStatement and save it as a PDF.
Download a statement in the RBC Royal Bank app
- Sign in to the RBC Mobile app.
- Tap More in the navigation bar (Menu on Android).
- Under Services, tap Statements.
- Select the account; the last 6 statements are listed.
- Use the dropdown to choose a different statement period.
Export transactions as CSV
RBC Royal Bank's help pages describe PDF statements but don't list a CSV export for personal accounts. If all you have is the PDF, convert it to CSV or Excel with Rowvert.
How far back can you go?
RBC keeps up to 7 years of eStatements in Online Banking, and says customers who were on paper can still view the previous seven years of statements.
Good to know
- Only accounts switched to electronic delivery show eStatements; a missing statement usually means the account is not enrolled.
- eStatements are free, while monthly paper statements carry a fee on several RBC accounts.
- RBC advises saving or printing eStatements before closing an account, because they are no longer accessible afterwards.
Convert your RBC Royal Bank statement to Excel
Statement PDFs can't be sorted, summed or imported. Drop one on Rowvert and get a spreadsheet with one row per transaction — date, description, debit, credit, balance — checked against the statement's own closing balance. Excel, CSV, QuickBooks (.qbo or CSV), Xero, OFX and QIF.
- Download the PDF statement using the steps above.
- Drop it on the converter — no template to choose, scanned PDFs work too.
- Download Excel, CSV, or a QuickBooks / Xero-ready file.

Can I download my RBC Royal Bank statement as a CSV?
RBC Royal Bank's help pages describe PDF statements; a CSV export isn't listed there for personal accounts. Converting the PDF statement gives you the same transactions as CSV or Excel.
How far back can I download RBC Royal Bank statements?
RBC keeps up to 7 years of eStatements in Online Banking, and says customers who were on paper can still view the previous seven years of statements.
How do I convert a RBC Royal Bank PDF statement to Excel?
Download the statement PDF, drop it on the Rowvert converter and download Excel, CSV, QuickBooks (.qbo or CSV), Xero, OFX or QIF. Each row is checked against the statement's running balance, and 1 page a day is free without an account.
Does Rowvert work with scanned RBC Royal Bank statements?
Yes. Scanned or photographed statements go through OCR automatically. Rows read from an image are marked so you can double-check them.
Is my RBC Royal Bank statement stored?
The PDF is processed in memory and never kept. Only the extracted spreadsheet is stored, for your plan's retention window, then deleted.
Which date format will the Excel file use?
RBC Royal Bank statements usually show dates as DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY; Rowvert converts them to real Excel dates so they sort and filter correctly.
