How to download your Wells Fargo bank statement
Wells Fargo lets you download statements as PDF in online banking. Transactions can also be exported as CSV, QFX, QuickBooks Web Connect. Below: the exact steps, how far back you can go, and how to turn a PDF statement into Excel, CSV or QuickBooks.
Download a PDF statement in online banking
- Sign on to Wells Fargo Online.
- Go to 'Statements and Documents'.
- Select the account and the time period.
- Open the statement you need (one at a time)
- Save it to your computer with a .pdf file name, or print it.
Export transactions as CSV or another format

- Sign on to Wells Fargo Online and choose the account.
- Click 'Download Account Activity'.
- Confirm the From and To dates.
- Select 'Comma Delimited (ASCII, Spreadsheet)' or a Quicken/QuickBooks Web Connect option.
- Click 'Download'.
The default range is the last 90 days; checking, savings and money market accounts go back up to 18 months, credit cards up to 90 days or 300 transactions.
How far back can you go?
Statements are online for up to 7 years for deposit, mortgage and trust/managed investment accounts, up to 2 years for credit cards, home equity lines and personal loans/lines, and up to 12 months for auto loans. Account activity is available for up to 18 months (checking, savings, money market), 24 months (lines of credit and installment loans) or 90 days/300 transactions (credit cards).
Good to know
- You can only select and open one statement at a time.
- After an account is closed, its statements stay available for only about 90 days.
