How to download your Metro Bank statement
Metro Bank lets you download statements as PDF in online banking. Transactions can also be exported as CSV. Below: the exact steps, how far back you can go, and how to turn a PDF statement into Excel, CSV or QuickBooks.
Download a PDF statement in online banking
- Log in to Metro Bank internet banking (personal or business).
- Click the account you want statements for.
- Click 'Documents', then 'Account Statements'.
- Choose the year.
- Click 'View' next to the month you need and save the file that downloads.
Export transactions as CSV

- Log in to online banking in a web browser and open your statements page.
- Personal online banking: click 'Download Transactions' at the bottom of the statements page to get a spreadsheet file.
- Business Online Plus / Commercial Online Banking: open the account's 'Transaction Summary', use 'Advanced Search' to set the dates, then select 'Export' for a CSV file.
Metro Bank's guides use different menu wording for its personal and business platforms, so the exact labels you see may differ; on the business platform 'Download' gives a PDF and 'Export' gives CSV.
How far back can you go?
Metro Bank says personal customers can download PDFs of all statements since the account was opened and see transactions as far back as 2015. On Business Online Plus / Commercial Online Banking, statements go back up to five years and Advanced Search covers up to 5 years, searched in 12-month blocks.
Good to know
- Switch off pop-up blockers before opening a statement, otherwise the download may not appear.
- On the business platform, the 'Download' button produces a PDF of the last 32 days only; use Advanced Search and 'Export' for other periods or CSV.
