How to download your Nationwide bank statement
Nationwide lets you download statements as PDF in online banking and in the app. Transactions can also be exported. Below: the exact steps, how far back you can go, and how to turn a PDF statement into Excel, CSV or QuickBooks.
Download a PDF statement in online banking
- Log in to the Internet Bank.
- Open the 'Documents' tab.
- Choose 'Statements'.
- Pick the account and the statement you need.
- Download it as a PDF file.
Download a statement in the Nationwide app
- Log in to the Nationwide banking app.
- Go to 'My Documents'.
- Pick the statement you need and download it.
Export transactions as CSV
- Log in to the Internet Bank in a web browser.
- Select the current account you want transactions for.
- Under 'Transactions', choose 'Download transactions'.
- Choose the download option you need (for example 'Download midata').
How far back can you go?
PDF statements for current accounts, savings and credit cards are available for the last 36 months in both the Internet Bank and the app, and the Internet Bank shows transactions for the past 15 months. The midata transaction download covers a 12-month period, excluding the 31 days before the download.
Good to know
- The midata transaction download is not in the app: on a phone you have to log in to the Internet Bank through a web browser.
- No statement is issued for a month where the balance is zero and there were no transactions.
- For a closed account, online access to the last 5 years of statements must be registered for within 6 months of closure.

Can I download my Nationwide statement as a CSV?
Yes: Nationwide offers a transaction export (steps above). Statements themselves come as PDF. If the export doesn't reach back far enough, convert the PDF statements to CSV with Rowvert.
